More than 10 fire trucks have responded to a bushfire on Lucinda Avenue, Lansdowne. (Twitter) 

Firefighters have controlled a large bushfire burning in Lansdowne, in Sydney’s south-west.

A Watch and Act warning has been downgraded to precautionary Advice as firefighters monitor a 15 hectare bushfire on Lucinda Avenue in Lansdowne.

The New South Wales Rural Fire Service (NSWRFS) has advised residents in Lansdowne Reserve, which also includes Hazel Street and Henry Lawson Drive, to take advice from firefighters in the area.

More than 10 Fire and Rescue NSW trucks and water bombers helped control the blaze throughout the afternoon..

A separate serious bushfire is also being controlled by fire fighters and water bombs in Londonderry, in Sydney's west.
