Hungry Jack's Garfield toy recalled over choking risk
A popular toy included in Hungry Jack's children's meals nationwide has been recalled over safety concerns.
Product Safety Australia (PSA) has recalled the "Burping Garfield" cat-shaped plastic toy after it failed to meet button battery standards under Australian consumer law.
The consumer watchdog warned there is a risk of choking, serious injury or death if young children gain access to the button/coin batteries and swallow or place them inside their bodies.

Parents and carers have been warned to stop using the product immediately and place it out of reach of children.
"The product does not comply with the mandatory information standard for products containing button/coin batteries. The product does not include the required warning information," the PSA said.
The product was available nationwide from May 20-30.
Consumers can return the toy to their nearest Hungry Jack's restaurant for a free replacement for a non-battery toy.
