Baby sling recalled over suffocation risk

A baby carrier has been recalled by Product Safety Australia after the items were sent out without crucial warning labels.

Baby slings sold by Tiny Triumphs have been recalled with the consumer watchdog ACCC warning that babies could suffocate or fall if the sling was used incorrectly.

Any of the slings purchased between January 6 and January 2023 have been recalled.

Products sold on that date didn't have the correct warning information.

Product Safety said there was a risk of "death or serious injury to babies from falls or suffocation if the sling is not used properly". 

"Consumers may not be aware of the safety hazards associated with this product," they said.

They advised anyone who bought slings to stop using the product.

They can be sent to the manufacturer for a refund.

The slings were sold online around Australia.
