Prince Harry spotted dining at popular Sydney restaurant on last night of Australian visit

Prince Harry has been spotted dining at a popular restaurant in Sydney before he leaves our shores today. 

The prince dined with around 10 friends at an eatery in Cronulla at around 7:30pm last night.

Staff at the venue said the prince had asked for the evening to be relaxed and preferred not be addressed as Your Highness. 

"It was an honour to have him in tonight," the restaurant's general manager told 9NEWS.

"He’s a very lovable prince and that showed tonight.

"There were no airs and graces."

The prince enjoyed a three-course meal of a smoked cod entree, Atlantic salmon for main and a souffle for dessert. 

Harry drank only still water throughout the meal, staff said.

An undercover member of his police detail visited the restaurant at around 4pm to request a table for around 10 VIPs.

Ecstatic fans braved the cold for hours to get a glimpse of royalty. 

A group of young girls told 9NEWS the prince was happy to chat, suggesting they should have been in bed when he left at around 10pm.

Harry will fly to New Zealand this afternoon for a week-long trip.

He spent a month in Australia as Captain Wales for a military deployment with the Australian Army.
