Prime minister's pro yoga stance

The innovation prime minister has made his pitch to the most agile of his voters - the yoga constituency.

While the closest the prime minister came to a downward dog in his press conference was some downward digs at his opposition, he did pitch the story of his sun salutation.

Enjoying the good weather on the Sunshine Coast, Mr Turnbull and his wife Lucy enjoyed a beachside stroll and encountered the local yoga group.

Mr Turnbull did not say if they joined the group, but hinted at a pro-yoga stance when wrapping up a press conference.

"On that note I should say farewell and namaste."
