Port Adelaide’s Jackson Trengove free to play after he was punched in Adelaide pub brawl

Port Adelaide player Jackson Trengove is free to play after being cleared of any wrongdoing in an alleged Adelaide pub brawl at the weekend.

The AFL club tonight confirmed Trengove was struck in the face outside a bar in Moseley Square, in the beachside suburb of Glenelg, about 12.30am yesterday.

“Trengove did not retaliate and left the scene immediately,” the statement said.

“He was not seriously injured in the incident but has bruising around his left eye.”

Port Adelaide said the 26-year-old would be available for selection this weekend.

The side will next play the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Saturday.

Local police told 9NEWS they are investigating two separate incidents at Moseley Square that also unfolded early yesterday morning.
