The son of suspected cop killer Dezi Freeman has compared his father to "Rambo" and warned he could survive for weeks in the bush.

More than 450 officers are currently involved in the search, with police also announcing a $1 million reward for information leading to his arrest on the weekend.

Koah said he suspected his father could be dead, but called on him to turn himself in to police.

He said his and his family's hearts went out to the families of the slain officers Vadim De Waart-Hottart and Neal Thompson.
