Police allegedly seize replica gun from man in Martin Place

NSW police swooped on a man today in Sydney’s Martin Place after he was allegedly spotted carrying a replica firearm.

Officers were called to the CBD zone after several witnesses reported seeing a man armed with a gun.

They could be heard demanding: “Where’s the gun?” as they searched the man’s backpack and pockets.

Police allege they found a replica gun inside a plastic bag.

The man has been taken into custody.
