Police searching for two men after assault in Sydney’s west overnight

Two men are on the run after they allegedly assaulted and robbed a man in Sydney’s west overnight.

A 23-year-old man was sitting on steps outside a shopping centre on Patrick Street in Blacktown last night at around 7pm when he was approached by two men.

The men allegedly asked the 23-year-old man to hand over a speaker he was carrying before they assaulted him, threatened him and stole the speaker.

Police were called to the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

One of the men is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, is around 22-years-old, of a medium build, with a black-coloured ‘afro’ hairstyle to his neck.

He was wearing a black coloured cap with a white symbol on the front, a black jumper and cream chino pants.

The second man is described as being Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, around 20-years-old, 173cm tall, with short black or brown hair.

He was wearing a cream or yellow Adidas jumper with a white symbol on it and was wearing white running shoes.
