Police searching for man who wore ‘V for Vendetta’ mask during Melbourne robbery

A man who attempted to rob a service station in Heidelberg Heights last month wearing a distinctive mask known for its appearance in the film ‘V for Vendetta’ is still on the run.

The offender broke his way into the service station on Upper Heidelberg Road just before 3am on April 24 by smashing through a glass window.

He was unable to break into the store’s ATM, however, and left empty handed.

Police have released CCTV footage of the man who was wearing a black jumper and grey pants as well as the distinct Guy Fawkes-style mask.
