Police searching for man following armed robbery in Sydney’s west

Police are searching for a man following an armed robbery at a service station in Sydney’s west earlier this week.

A 29-year-old employee was assisting a man at a service station on Sackville Street in Fairfield around 7.40pm when the man suddenly threatened him.

The man produced a window cleaning tool, demanding cash and cigarettes, according to NSW police.

The man was able to force his way behind the counter and left the scene with cash and cigarettes.

Police have released CCTV in the hopes of finding the offender.

He is described as being of a thin build, aged in his early 20s, and is shown wearing a black hooded-jumper and black track pants.
