Police search for Vic teen's sex attacker

Police are seeking a man with strawberry-blond curly hair in his late 30s to mid 40s in connection with a sexual assault in rural Victoria.

Sex Crime Squad detectives are returning to Seymour, about 100km north of Melbourne, to track down the man who sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl on May 29.

The teenager was walking through a railway underpass when she noticed a man jogging towards her, who then grabbed her around the neck and head.

She was forced against a wall before being sexually assaulted.

The girl managed to fight off the man, who was wearing a grey hooded windcheater with black writing, light blue jeans and white runners with white laces.

Police will hand out flyers in Seymour on Thursday.
