Police search for suspected arsonist over fires at two businesses
Police are searching for a suspected arsonist after two businesses were destroyed by fires in Perth.
Emergency services were called just after midnight but by the time crews arrived the fire had gutted Western Powder Worx and spread to neighbouring business West Coast Gymnastics.
It is estimated the fire caused in excess of $2 million in damage.

"They quickly got into action and have managed to contain it to two businesses, so they worked very hard under the conditions," Department of Fire and Emergency Services district officer Darryl Krammer said.
As firefighters left the scene, the arson squad took over, treating the fire as a targeted attack.
"If anyone has any information of suspicious activity, persons or vehicles in that area, any CCTV or dash cam would be extremely helpful to us," WA Police Inspector Geoff DeSanges said.

The owner of the powder coating business told 9News he had no idea why he would have been targeted and was devastated to receive the phone call about the fire in the early hours of this morning.
This isn't the first time the business has been the victim of suspected arson.
Two workers were injured in 2019 and hospitalised with burns.
"(The) arson squad will examine the full circumstances, including any antecedents relating to those premises," DeSanges said.
