Police name man found dead on Gold Coast

Queensland police have named a man who was found dead on his back porch on the Gold Coast.

The body of Mark Emanuel Spencer, 37, was found by his house mate on the porch of their Foxwell Road home about 4am on Wednesday.

There were obvious head injuries, police said.

Police are urging anyone with information about Mr Spencer's death or details of any suspicious activity in the area to contact them.

Detective Superintendent Dave Hutchinson will update media about the incident at 2.30pm.
