One of the brothers then left the storage facility. Police subsequently arrived at the scene, only to be allegedly attacked by the other man, who fired several arrows.

One of the arrows hit an officer in the leg, causing non-life threatening injuries requiring hospitalisation.

The standoff came to an end at 1am after police took the suspect into custody.

He is currently in hospital under police guard receiving treatment for minor injuries.

Police are continuing their investigation and no charges have been laid.
