Police officer sent sprawling across road after teen driving ‘stolen’ Lexus crashes into him

Video has emerged of the moment an allegedly stolen car collided with a police officer in Queensland today.

The Lexus sedan was being driven by a 17-year-old, leading police on a chase through the streets of Logan, south of Brisbane around 8.30am (AEST).

As the car travelled down the wrong side of the road, one officer attempted to intervene before the Lexus collided with him, sending him sprawling across the road.

He was taken to Mater Private Hospital and treated for a minor shoulder injury and bruising.

Police believe the Lexus was stolen after a break and enter in the bayside region of Brisbane.

Another vehicle, a stolen Toyota Camry, was also pursued by officers and tracked by the police helicopter.

Three 17-year-olds have been arrested over the chase.
