German man 'found with 396 ecstasy pills' at Sydney dance festival

Eight festival goers have been charged with supplying drugs at a dance party in Sydney's west, while another 37 people were found with drugs on them.

Police using sniffer dogs charged a total of 45 people at the Defqon.1 dance party which started on Saturday morning at Sydney International Regatta Centre.

A 22-year-old German national allegedly had 396 capsules containing ecstasy and amphetamine.

Another man allegedly had 200 pills and a woman allegedly had 87 pills, all believed to be MDMA.

Eleven people were issued with cannabis cautions and one man was charged with an assault offence.

The festival which features hardstyle and related genres hardcore techno, hard house and hard trance music is held annually in Netherlands, Chile and Australia.
