More charges for two men charged over shooting of Curtis Cheng

The NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team has laid further charges against two men in relation to the murder of NSW Police Force employee Curtis Cheng in October.

Police said a 22-year-old Merrylands man has been charged with knowingly participate in a criminal group.

He had previously been charged with supplying a pistol to an unauthorised person and acquiring a pistol contrary to a Firearm Prohibition Order and hindering discovery of evidence.

A 22-year-old Marsfield man has been charged with knowingly participating in the supply of a pistol. He had previously been charged with knowingly participating in a criminal group.

The pair were transported from a Goulburn correctional centre to appear at Bowral Police Station, where they were charged.

All charges laid today relate to NSW legislation under the Crimes Act and Firearms Act.

Both men were refused bail.

The Merrylands man will appear at Parramatta Court on February 4, while the Mansfield man will appear at Parramatta Court on January 14.
