A man has been charged after he allegedly pulled out a hammer during a fight at a shopping centre on the NSW Central Coast.

Officers were called to Lake Haven Drive in Lake Haven about 10.15am yesterday after reports of an altercation between two men - one believed to be aged in his 30s and one in his 50s.

Footage shared on social media shows the pair appearing to scuffle on an escalator, with one of the men armed with a hammer.

Shopping centre hammer brawl in Lake Haven

Police are looking to speak with two men - one man believed to be aged in his 30s and one in his 50s Facebook

Both men left the scene.

Police said a 36-year-old man was arrested at Wyong Police Station a short time later.

He was charged with affray and being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.

The man was formally refused bail at Wyong Local Court today and is due to reappear on October 16.
