An elderly woman has been killed in a three-way crash in Sydney's west overnight.

About 5.20pm, a Holden Commodore was travelling west along Adelaide Street in St Marys when it approached the intersection of Glossop Street.

Police have been told a Toyota Kluger was travelling south along Glossop Street at the same time when the two vehicles collided, before both vehicles collided with a third car – a Hyundai iLoad.

The Holden continued south along Glossop Street, where it hit a telegraph pole.

One of the passengers of the Holden, an 82-year-old woman, died at the scene.

The 76-year-old driver of the Holden and a 62-year-old male passenger both suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital.

Nobody else was injured during the incident and police have called for witnesses.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
