Police hunting hit-and-run driver after crash seriously injured scooter rider in Spearwood, Perth

Police are hunting a driver who fled the scene of a crash that left a scooter rider with serious injuries in Spearwood, Perth, yesterday afternoon.

A man aged in his 60s was riding a scooter eastbound along Angus Avenue about 5pm (AWST) when he collided with a silver SUV/wagon style vehicle travelling southbound on Denham Street, WA Police said in a statement.

The scooter rider received serious injuries in the crash.

Nearby residents provided first aid, and the man was then taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital.

Police believe the driver of the vehicle failed to stop.
