Police hunting for Goulburn prison escapee in Sydney

A man has escaped from a minimum-security correctional facility in Goulburn.

Mark Tazelaar, 37, fled from the Maud street facility at 1.30pm with police now scouring the state.

The public is advised to not approach him, and instead call triple-zero.

He’s described as Caucasian, about 180cm tall, of a medium build and with short light brown hair.

He was last seen wearing his prison greens, and it’s believed he could be headed towards Sydney – particularly the suburbs of Narellan, Campbelltown, Rooty Hill and Blaxland.
