Police hunting dangerous Adelaide drivers featured in online video

Debunking the belief that red cars go faster, police in South Australia are on the hunt for the driver of a green car filmed speeding through the Adelaide CBD late at night.

Police said the green car was being driven in "a manner that put the safety of other road users at risk".

In the video posted to YouTube on Monday, three cars can be seen waiting at traffic lights. When the light turns green, a green-coloured Holden sedan speeds off past a maroon-coloured Holden sedan.

While police understand the driver of the maroon car was not participating in the same level of dangerous driving, they believe the driver is known to the person in the green car and may be able to assist them with their investigation.

Police have issued a plea for information after the video was featured on 9NEWS Adelaide last night.
