Police are hunting for a man following two sexual assaults in a Melbourne clothing store.

CCTV footage of a man who allegedly sexually assaulted two women at a store in Melbourne’s CBD in December has been released by Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives in the hope of identifying him.

The man first entered the clothing store on December 18 at around 7pm and began talking to a female staff member before allegedly grabbing her and sexually assaulting her.

Police were told he then smiled at the woman before running from the shop.

The next day the same man returned to the store and approached a different female employee, asking her the price of an item of clothing.

As she turned away to check the price, he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Once again, he smiled at the woman before running from the store.

It’s believed the man returned to the store on March 4, and was allegedly seen masturbating through his clothes while watching a female employee he had been speaking with.

The man is perceived to be of Asian appearance, aged in his early 30s, approximately 175cm tall, with a slim build, a moustache and facial hair.

He was wearing dark grey clothing and had a black satchel at the time of the incidents.
