He recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.03 - which, while below the regular limit of 0.05 - put him over the limit for P-plate drivers, which require a blood alcohol level of zero.

Officers also discovered he was driving on a suspended licence.

The court heard Fuller is currently undergoing a traffic offenders' program.

His father wasn't in court today, but has previously said people who drink and drive are "playing Russian roulette not with their own lives but with our lives."

He was supported in court by his mother and step-father.

Fuller will be sentenced at the Downing Centre local court next month.
