Police appeal for information after one-punch attack in Liverpool

Police have asked for anyone with information about a one-punch attack in Liverpool this morning to come forward, after a 21-year-old man was assaulted.

He was approached by a group of men at a Scott Street hotel about 9.45am, NSW Police Force said in a statement.

One of the men then punched the 21-year-old in the head, in what police believe was an unprovoked attack.

The victim was knocked unconscious and fell to the floor.

Police were called to the scene and searched for the group, but failed to find them.

The injured man was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he was treated for bruising to his face and head, police said.

He has since been released.
