Almost $50,000 in cash was allegedly found in a baby wipe container during a traffic stop in Brisbane yesterday.

Police pulled over a car at about 11am on Compton Road in Sunnybank.

They searched the car based on what officers claim was the "suspicious" behaviour of the occupants, a 37-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman.

Police allegedly found $49,980 in cash in a baby wipe container in the rear of the car.

Officers next executed a search warrant on a house at Stretton, where they allegedly found 12 rounds of shotgun ammunition and a large number of sealed bags containing methylamphetamine.

A 24-year-old Stretton woman has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs and authority required to possess explosives.

She will face court on October 14.

The investigation is continuing.
