PM warns NSW against making protest vote

Tony Abbott has cautioned NSW voters against casting a protest vote against the coalition in Saturday's election.

"The last thing we need is to elect an L-plate Labor leader through a protest vote," the prime minister told reporters in Tasmania on Friday.

The only way to keep the economy strong was to keep Mike Baird as premier, Mr Abbott said.
