Turnbull and Trump phone call mocked on Saturday Night Live
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s phone conversation with US President Donald Trump has been skewered by Alec Baldwin on Saturday Night Live.
The latest sketch shows Baldwin reprising his role as Mr Trump, phoning numerous world leaders as 'Grim Reaper Bannon' stands over him.
“Mr Trump, thank you for still accepting our refugees,” an actor portraying Mr Turnbull says, referring to the refugee deal made with former US President, Barack Obama.
“Your country’s compassion will not be forgotten,” he adds.
Baldwin then acts out in horror, denying any “deal” between the two nations.
“Uh, no refugees. Australia sucks, your reef is failing, prepare to go to war,” he says, before abruptly hanging up the phone.
