PM blasts 'nonsense' Labor savings

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has dismissed Labor's planned $70 billion in budget savings as nonsense.
He said the opposition's pledge to reap billions via a range of measures including targeting multinational tax avoidance and hiking the cigarette excise would not work and were modest in the context of the budget challenges.
"The claimed $70 billion in savings is a nonsense," Mr Turnbull told parliament on Tuesday.
