Malcolm Turnbull has said he has "forgiven" Senator Cash's "oversight". (AAP) 

Malcolm Turnbull has accepted an apology from cabinet minister Michaelia Cash over her failure to declare an investment property on time.

The prime minister said he was disappointed Senator Cash was late in registering an investment property in Perth bought late last year, reportedly for $1.4 million.

"She's had an oversight here. She's very sorry about it and I've accepted her apology," Mr Turnbull told Melbourne's 3AW radio today.
