Immigration department gives compensation to Save The Children over sacked Nauru aid workers

Aid workers kicked off Nauru after the federal government wrongly claimed they were coaching asylum seekers to self harm have been compensated and received an apology.
Nine Save the Children staff were removed from Nauru in October 2014.
The immigration department said in a statement on Friday it had reached a confidential settlement with Save the Children and regretted the way the removal direction may have led the public to question Save the Children's integrity.
