Plane makes emergency landing in Melb

An outbound Air New Zealand aircraft has safely completed an emergency landing at Melbourne Airport.

The plane landed at the airport just before 8pm (AEDT), around 30 minutes after taking off on a flight to Auckland.

There were reports on Twitter that the plane had suffered a right hand engine failure with fuel leak.

A Melbourne Airport spokeswoman said the plane landed without incident and there were no reports of passenger injuries.
