Plane skids off runway in failed take-off at Bankstown Airport

A plane has skidded off the runway at Bankstown Airport this afternoon after failing to take off properly.

Emergency services were called around 3.30pm after reports an Aero L-30 Albatross ex-military aircraft had come off the runway.

A male and female on board the plane at the time were not injured.

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority said the plane had a nose wheel problem.
