Pizza delivery driver ambushed by gang in Punchbowl

Police have released CCTV of an assault on a pizza delivery driver in Punchbowl last month.

The 26-year-old victim parked his motorbike on Owen Street about 7.30pm on August 30, when he was set upon by five men and beaten.

The offenders are described as being in their late teens or early 20s, and were all wearing dark clothing.

CCTV footage shows the men pushing the driver to the ground, kicking and punching him while he lies defenceless.

The men stole pizzas, a small amount of cash and a mobile phone before fleeing the scene.

Detectives are also looking at other incidents in Sydney’s south-west that the gang of youths may be responsible for.
