Pet canary proves unexpected star in owner's photoshoot

A yellow canary has been unwittingly cast into the limelight after its owner published a series of photos of the bird exploring her dining room.

Twitter user @DanaDy0206 from Abu Dhabi tweeted the surprising results of her photoshoot with “Tweety” earlier this week.

The photos show the bird circling a transparent decanter and peering inquisitively over the top of a tray.

“Look how cute,” his owner’s tweet reads.

The post has since garnered tens of thousands of retweets and likes, with the bird’s somewhat confused reaction and model-like poses winning the hearts of multiple Twitter users.

Many have responded by transforming the photos into a series of memes referencing modelling and celebrity culture.
