Ute appears out of nowhere in Perth dash-cam smash

Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there.

A Perth driver has learnt why you cannot ever assume it is safe to cross while trying to turn right onto a road in St James on Monday.

Dash cam footage shows the white ute pull out in front of a car dealership, its view of the approaching traffic obscured by a black van.

The ute driver was unhurt but the man behind the wheel of the other car suffered a fracture in his right hand.

"I'm pretty sure my car's a write-off, air bags were deployed," he wrote when posting the video to Dash Cam Owners Australia.

"The other driver accepted full responsibility."
