Teen charged with murder over Perth stabbing death

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of a man in Perth's north overnight.

Police were called to a home in Girrawheen at 7pm yesterday, where they found a man with serious injuries.

The 36-year-old man later died in hospital from his injuries.

Major Crime Squad detectives took the Girrawheen teen into custody, and he was charged with murder this morning.

Police believe the boy and the victim were known to each other.

The boy is due to appear before the Perth Children's Court today.
