Woman pushed off e-scooter and sexually assaulted, police say

Police have launched a major manhunt after a woman was robbed and assaulted in a sex attack in Perth.

The woman was on an electric scooter on a footpath in Burswood, beneath the Causeway Bridge.

Police said she was sexually assaulted and robbed in the early hours of Saturday morning between the Crown Casino and Victoria Park.

The man ran off with the woman's mobile phone.

Police are now looking for a man aged 25 to 35, with a slim build, facial hair and an olive or tanned complexion.

He was last seen wearing a dark coloured jacket and baseball cap.

Detectives are calling for anyone who was in the Burswood area between midnight and 2am on Saturday to come forward.
