Perth pizzeria gutted by fire

Masked arsonists lit a fire that caused more than $500,000 worth of damage to a Perth pizzeria.

The men were captured on CCTV dousing Pizza on Alexander in Ballajura's Market City Shopping Centre in the early hours of December 2.

A flash of light can be seen as the fire ignited, quickly followed by flames barrelling through the store.

The fire department had the blaze under control in about 30 minutes.

However, by that stage significant damage had been done to the pizzeria, as well as a neighbouring Chinese restaurant.

The owner posted images of the gutted restaurant being boarded up after the blaze.

He expressed gratitude to his consumers for their patronage.

"After a really sad day yesterday I would like thank everyone for supporting us for the last three years," the post read.

More than a month after the incident, Arson Squad detectives are still searching for the two culprits.

They released the CCTV footage on Tuesday in the hopes it could lead to an arrest.
