Man critical, two charged after alleged one-punch attack at McDonald's in Perth

Two men have been charged after an alleged one-punch attack at a Perth McDonald's that left a man fighting for his life.

Western Australia Police allege the men became involved in an altercation outside the McDonald's on Beaufort Street about 1am.

"It will be alleged one of the men (aged 41 years) was punched and as a result hit his head on the ground," police said in a statement.

"He sustained serious head injuries and was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment."

The man remained in intensive care this afternoon.

A 22-year-old man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.

Another 22-year-old man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm.

The first man is expected to appear in Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow and the second will appear in court at a later date.
