'Shut your mouth curry muncher': Man threatens father and kids with stick

A man has been charged over threatening a Perth father and his two children with a large stick. 

Surmail Singh had just picked up his children - aged six and four - from primary school when police allege a 41-year-old East Cannington man started yelling at him.

Mr Singh was at a bus stop and on the phone at the time, but ended the call to film the incident.

In the footage, the 41-year-old can be heard saying "shut your mouth curry muncher, before I put a knife in your face, do you understand".

When the other man notices the phone, he calls the father a "coward" and threatens them with a large stick, but instead hits a garden fence.

The 41-year-old has been charged with threats to injure, endanger or harm and being armed in a way that may cause fear.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrate's Court next month.
