Mystery surrounds brutal bashing of man in his Perth home

A Perth man is fighting for his life after he was found in a pool of blood in his home.

The 36-year-old was discovered by his wife just after 5.30pm yesterday when she arrived at her South Guildford home after work.

He had been brutally bashed and suffered serious head injuries.

“About 5.30 she came home and she found her husband on the floor, the blood is spilling on the floor,” neighbour Ramandeep Kaur told 9NEWS.

“She came here…she said like someone hit him from back but his eye look like someone punch on eye.”

Forensic officers spent the day scouring the property for evidence and doorknocked neighbours’ homes.

The man is in a critical condition in hospital.
