'Long haul' recovery just beginning for Perth locals
Even as firefighters continue to battle the surging Wooroloo bushfire near Perth, some residents are starting the long road to recovery.
Robyn McTaggart was just metres away from losing her home.
"It's come right up to the back door of the house and to the front door, and just behind the sheds," she said.

"We were enormously lucky our stables, our sheds are still standing."
Ms McTaggart was able to protect the livestock and put out any threatening spot fires – but despite having saved her property, she is now battling to get supplies.
Others are fighting to get back home, with roadblocks locking them out.
Sharon Maloney is stuck at an intersection kilometres away from her husband, who stayed to defend their home.

"You see photos of people who are home defending and those walls of flames around their house, I couldn't do that," she said.
Even those who have been able to return to find their homes still standing, there's another problem, with the power grid in the area completely wiped out.
"The recovery will be weeks, not days here," Western Power's Sam Babaro said.
"It's going to be a long haul I think from here."
