The search continues for WA’s newest millionaire, but it's now been revealed where the $20 million winning ticket was sold.

Lotterywest said the purchase for Thursday night’s Powerball draw was made at The Mall Newsagency on Hay Street in the city.

The ticket holder is yet to come forward.

Store owner Michael Rollings said he and his staff are waiting with champagne, for the winner to come forward.

“It’s such a big amount of money,” he told 9NEWS.

“We’ve got a protocol in place so that there’s no screaming and shouting, we take them away quietly and break the news to them.”

It’s the biggest win the newsagency has had in its 25 year history.

Mr Rollings is now urging everyone to check their tickets.

“I think a lot of people just fold them up in their wallets so now they know where it was sold, it might prompt them to have another look.”

The winning numbers were: 10, 17, 35, 40, 22, 30 and the Powerball, 7.
