Massive blaze rips through Sydney industrial complex
A fire has caused extensive damage to an industrial complex in Sydney’s west overnight.
The blaze at L & H Electrical in Penrith started at around 1.30am.
Firefighters raced to the scene to start fighting the fire and attempt to stop it from neighbouring premises on Batt Street.
The fire was contained within an hour through the efforts of around 50 firefighters.
Police and paramedics also attended the fire, but no one was injured.
Firefighters say the cause of the fire is unknown, but they are not treating it as suspicious.
Police remained guarding the scene early this morning, with investigators expected to visit the premises later in the day.
Firefighters were later called to another blaze at a business on The Horsley Drive at Wetherill Park.
At least 70 firefighters attempted to fight the fire but it caused significant damage to the premises before it could be brought under control.
