Missing boy found after major police operation in Sydney’s north

A missing boy who sparked a major police operation in Sydney’s north has been found safe and well.

Police rushed to Pennant Hills Public School this morning after teachers reported a six-year-old boy missing.

A major search operation was launched, with assistance from the police helicopter, the dog squad and the public riot squad.

The boy was last seen running outside the school grounds after missing the bus for the swimming carnival.

It is believed the boy was driven to the event separately.

Police called off the search for the boy at around 1pm.
