Pedestrian killed in Melbourne motorcycle crash

A person has died after a collision in North Melbourne. Getty

A pedestrian has died following a collision in North Melbourne this afternoon.

"It is believed a motorcycle collided with a pedestrian on Flemington Road just after 2.40pm," Victoria Police said in a statement.

Both the pedestrian and rider were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The pedestrian, who is yet to be identified, died in hospital.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined at this stage.
