Pedestrian killed by car on Melbourne highway

A 67-year-old man has died after being hit by a car on the Princes Highway at Berwick, in Melbourne's south-east.

The pedestrian died at the scene after he was struck just before 9.30pm yesterday.

The female driver of the car is assisting police with their inquiries, with the circumstances surrounding the crash yet to be determined.
