A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in rural Queensland.
The 38-year-old man was crossing the Cunningham Highway near Middle Road in Purga, on the outskirts of Ipswich, when he was hit by a sedan travelling north at about 6.15pm yesterday.

The man, from Mundubbera, died at the scene.
The driver of the sedan was not physically injured and is assisting police with their investigation.
